Missouri MOScholars: receipts and reimbursement

MOScholars is EAO-mediated and, for 2026-27, moving to the Odyssey platform. However your account is run, the rule that gets purchases paid is the same: a system-printed, itemized receipt — never a handwritten or self-made one.

How you spend

• Reimbursement — pay a provider, then submit invoices or receipts to your EAO's platform and get paid from your account balance.
• Direct pay — some EAOs pay approved providers directly.

What a receipt must be

Odyssey's acceptable-documentation rules require system-printed receipts or invoices with the vendor name and contact details. Handwritten, word-processor, or self-prepared invoices are rejected for cash or check purchases, and reimbursements need proof of payment.

Award amounts

The general award is tied to the State Adequacy Target — roughly $6,375 in recent guidance — and students with an IEP or ISP can qualify for up to 175% of that. Confirm the current year's figure with your EAO.
