ESA+ families spend through ClassWallet — and because many purchases are therapies, tutoring and technology bought throughout the year, the receipts add up fast. Keep each itemized invoice and hit the June deadline, and reimbursements go smoothly.
How you spend (ClassWallet)
- Direct Pay — ClassWallet pays an approved school or provider directly.
- Marketplace — buy eligible products through the ClassWallet Marketplace.
- Reimbursement — pay a vendor out of pocket, then upload an itemized invoice/receipt to be paid back from your account.

The deadline that matters
Expenses for the current school year must be submitted in ClassWallet before it closes for the year — around the third week of June. Once ClassWallet reopens in July, you cannot pay for services that took place before July 1. Don't let a year of therapy and tutoring invoices pile up to June.
What a reimbursement needs
An itemized invoice or receipt: the provider/vendor name, the date, a description of each item or service, and the amount. For out-of-pocket reimbursements you'll also link a bank account in ClassWallet. Keep the documentation for every therapy session and purchase.
Allowed expense categories
- K-12 private-school tuition and required fees
- Educational therapies — speech, occupational and similar services
- Tutoring and instructional services
- Educational technology (approved devices)
- Curriculum and instructional materials
- Art and music tutoring services from enrolled providers — lessons, classes and camps in visual and performing arts (beginning fall 2026)
