Georgia Promise is mostly direct-pay for tuition, but it runs on Odyssey and has a receipt-matched reimbursement path — and a $500 transportation cap where the amount you claim has to match the receipt exactly. That's where good receipt habits pay off.

How you spend (Odyssey)

• Direct Pay — tuition and fees paid to GESA-approved private schools.
• Marketplace — eligible products and services from approved vendors.
• Reimbursement — supported through Odyssey (confirmed for transportation); the reimbursed amount must match your receipt.

Award and deposits (2026-27)

Up to $6,500 per student (GESA may retain up to 5% for administration). Funds arrive quarterly, with the first roughly $1,625 on or after July 1, 2026.

What a reimbursement needs

Following the Odyssey standard: an itemized invoice plus proof of payment; a point-of-sale receipt is required for cash or check purchases, and handwritten or self-made receipts are rejected.

• Tutoring (certified)
• Educational therapies — occupational, behavioral, physical and speech
